This area has plenty of natural and cultural monuments. The town Telc is among the most important. In 1992, the town's centre was added to the UNESCO's World Heritage List. Among others there is the castle of Rostejn, the town Slavonice, the town Dacice with its renaissance castle and the of town Nova Rise with its monastery of St. Peter and St. Paul. It is also possible to bath in the Vodni raj (Water of Eden) resort in Jihlava or in one of the many small lakes (ponds). The world`s first sugar cube is reputed to have been produced in Dacice. You can also go mushrooming or collect bilberries. A golf resort has recently been opened in the vicinity of Telc.
